Church of Our Lady of Good Remedy

Church of Our Lady of Good Remedy is a stone building with a baroque facade located on Fernando de Noronha island. It contains a single nave with a choir and main chapel decorated with symmetrical ornamental details.

Construction started in 1737 alongside the Remedios Fortress and was completed in 1772. Additional ornamental elements were added through 1784, forming the baroque character visitors see today.

The church serves as a gathering place for religious celebrations and community events, especially on August 29 when locals come together. This shows how the island's residents maintain their spiritual traditions through the building.
