Sand Serpent, Steel roller coaster in Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Florida.
The Sand Serpent features multiple sharp turns and drops along its 1,214-foot track, reaching speeds of 28 miles per hour at a height of 46 feet.
Originally installed at Busch Gardens Williamsburg as Wild Izzy in 1996, the Mack Rides Wild Mouse coaster moved to Tampa Bay in 2004 under the name Cheetah Chase.
The initial name Wild Izzy connected to the 1996 Summer Olympics mascot, as Busch Gardens served as a sponsor for the international sporting event.
Visitors need to check the daily schedule and height requirements before experiencing this family-oriented coaster in the Pantopia section of the park.
The coaster underwent three name changes throughout its operation, concluding its run on July 9, 2023, to make space for the Phoenix Rising attraction.
