Air Grover, Steel roller coaster in Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Florida.
Air Grover is a steel roller coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay with 628 feet (191 meters) of track. It reaches heights of 25 feet (7.6 meters), operates at speeds up to 22 miles per hour (35 kilometers per hour), and carries 32 riders in eight cars with two rows each.
The coaster was manufactured by German company Zierer as part of their Force line and opened on March 27, 2010. It arrived as part of the park's expansion toward family-oriented attractions.
The ride features Sesame Street character Grover with artistic details and design elements woven throughout the entire experience. Visitors encounter the blue character and his distinctive style at various points along the path.
Children must be at least 38 inches tall to ride this coaster. The ride is located in its own area of the park where signs for Sesame Street attractions will guide you there.
The lift system uses tires to propel riders through multiple gentle turns without any inversions or flips. This creates a smooth experience where even younger riders enjoy the motion without being turned upside down.
