University of South Florida Tampa Library

The University of South Florida Tampa Library is a research library located on campus with collections spread across seven floors. The facility holds books, electronic journals, and digital resources alongside computer workstations and group study areas designed for academic work.

The library opened in 1956 in a temporary space before moving to its own building in 1961. Subsequent expansions reflected the growing research needs of the university and its community.

The Florida Studies Center houses materials that document regional history and local traditions, offering visitors insight into what shaped this part of the state. Collections here reflect the diverse stories and experiences of people who have lived in Florida across different periods.
