HistoryMiami is a museum at 101 West Flagler Street in downtown Miami, in the Miami-Dade Cultural Plaza alongside the Miami-Dade Public Library. It occupies a 3,700 m² building on two floors: the upper floor holds the permanent exhibition "Tropical Dreams: A People's History of South Florida", while the lobby has two galleries for temporary shows and a gift shop. The collection numbers more than 13,000 objects.

Founded in 1940 as the Historical Museum of Southern Florida, it is the oldest continuously running cultural institution in South Florida. It opened its first museum in 1962, moved twice, and settled in the Miami-Dade Cultural Center in 1984. Renamed HistoryMiami in 2010, it took over the former Miami Art Museum space in 2014 and rebranded as Museum of Miami in 2026.

The museum shows how different communities shaped Miami through immigration and cultural exchange by displaying their stories in exhibitions. You can see how these groups continue to influence the city's identity today.
