Miami Tower

Miami Tower is an office building with 47 floors in downtown Miami's financial district, rising 191 meters with a white structural design. The building contains 19 elevators and a ten-story parking facility that serves tenants and visitors to the financial district.

Construction of the office building began in 1980 and was completed in 1987, marking a period of commercial growth in downtown Miami. The project was part of a larger wave of high-rise development that reshaped the city's skyline during that decade.

The tower changes its exterior lights throughout the year, displaying different colors during national holidays and important local events.

Visiting the observation deck requires advance planning since opening hours are limited and tickets should be booked in advance. The best time to visit is late afternoon when lighting conditions are ideal for city views.

The building was designed by Pei Cobb Freed & Partners and consists of two separate components: a parking structure and an office tower built over the garage air rights. This innovative design allowed the project to maximize space in the densely developed downtown area.
