Kimpton EPIC Hotel, Contemporary skyscraper in Downtown Miami, US

The Kimpton EPIC Hotel is a tall glass tower rising 54 floors above the Miami River with combined hotel and residential units. The building occupies a waterfront location that commands views in multiple directions across the river and bay.

The building opened in 2008 as part of Miami's expansion into modern high-rise development designed by the architectural firm Revuelta Vega Leon. Its completion marked a turning point in transforming the waterfront into a mixed-use district.

The tower was planned as part of a two-tower EPIC Miami Residences and Hotel complex; the taller Dupont Tower, 60 floors and named after the 1930s Alfred I. DuPont Building, was never built. The surviving Epic Tower carries the hotel and residences alone.

The property includes two swimming pools with panoramic views, dining options, and a fitness center with spa services available to guests. The waterfront location makes it easy to reach by public transportation and walkable to nearby attractions.

Epic was planned as one half of a two-tower complex with the Dupont Tower, which would have risen 609 feet over 60 floors and was named after the 1930s Alfred I. DuPont Building; that taller tower was cancelled, leaving Epic standing alone. In 2014 the 1.25-acre Epic 2 site sold for US$125 million, a record rate of $100 million per acre.
