500 Brickell, Twin residential towers in Brickell, Miami, United States

500 Brickell is a residential complex of two 42-floor condominium towers, the West and East Towers, each 426 feet (130 m) tall, designed by Arquitectonica. A 10-story base joins the two towers, and a large white roof with a circular hole links their top floors, letting light into the courtyard and pool between them.

Construction began in April 2005, with the towers topped out in mid-2007 and completed in 2008. The complex was developed by Thomas Kramer's Portofino Group with the Related Group of Florida, both towers designed by Arquitectonica. A smaller building, myBrickell, was added directly west on the same lot between 2012 and 2014, the first high-rise built in Miami after the Great Recession.

The twin towers shape the modern face of Brickell and demonstrate how the neighborhood transformed from a business district into a residential area. Their connected design reflects this shift in the district's character.

The complex is private residential property, so the courtyard and pool are not open to the public. The two towers share a 10-story base and a connecting roof with a circular opening; the pool lies in the courtyard between them. The site is in Brickell, near the Metromover and Metrorail stations.

The circular hole in the white roof was cut to channel daylight into the courtyard and its large pool between the towers. The roof links the top floors of the east and west towers, so the two buildings read as a single giant arch, the form Arquitectonica originally intended.
