Central Baptist Church, Protestant church in Downtown Miami, United States.

Central Baptist Church at 500 Northeast 1st Avenue showcases Neoclassical features including grand columns, symmetrical proportions, and ornate cornices. The interior accommodates approximately 2,500 worshippers and sits near convenient transit access.

The structure was built in 1925 by architect Edward Bennett Dougherty and earned National Register of Historic Places status in 1989. This recognition acknowledged its architectural significance to the city.

The congregation was established just before Miami became a city and adopted its current name in 1936. It continues to serve as a place of worship in the heart of the downtown area.

Visiting is possible when the church is open for services or events. The downtown location makes it easy to reach on foot, especially with multiple bus stops and the Metrorail station nearby.

Few religious institutions in Miami's central business district remain active with regular services. This church is among the rare ones that have maintained this important role in the heart of the city.
