Latitude on the River is a 44-story residential tower, 476 ft (145 m) tall, on the south bank of the Miami River in Downtown Miami. Completed in 2007, it holds 452 condominium units and was designed by Arquitectonica. The complex also includes the 35-story NeoVertika tower and the 93 m Latitude One office building.
Construction began in 2004 and the building opened in 2007, marking a time when Miami's riverfront shifted from industrial use to residential neighborhoods. The tower's completion was part of this larger transformation that reshaped the waterfront.
The complex's name and its two towers, Latitude on the River and NeoVertika, tie the address to its position on the south bank of the Miami River. The north tower was designed by Arquitectonica, the Miami firm behind many of the city's waterfront high-rises.
The complex stands on the southern bank of the Miami River in downtown Miami, at the coordinates 25.76820, -80.19710. The towers are private residential and office buildings, so there is no public viewing deck or interior access; the exterior and the riverfront setting are what a visitor can see from the surrounding streets and bridges.
The complex's south tower is NeoVertika, a 35-storey building of 113 metres completed in 2007, separate from the 44-storey north tower. A third structure, the 93-metre office building Latitude One, also forms part of the site on the Miami River's southern bank.
