Universal Orlando Resort is an entertainment complex in Orlando, Florida, with three theme parks, one water park, eleven hotels and the CityWalk dining and shopping district, covering 1,291 acres (522 ha). A blue building carries a ridged dark-blue sign reading "WELCOME TO UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT" in raised white capitals, and a glossy red roller coaster rail runs on vertical red supports against the sky.

Universal Studios Florida opened on June 7, 1990, after Universal bought 160 hectares between Orlando and Walt Disney World. Islands of Adventure and CityWalk followed on May 28, 1999, and the resort was briefly branded Universal Studios Escape before becoming Universal Orlando Resort in July 2000. Volcano Bay opened in 2017 and Epic Universe on May 22, 2025.

The wizarding area with its winding alleys and recreated storefronts feels like a walkable film set that draws visitors into a fantasy world. Guests drink Butterbeer from wooden mugs and purchase wands in a shop where interactive windows respond to their movements.

Arriving early helps visitors find shorter waits at popular attractions, especially on weekdays outside school holidays. A mobile app displays current queue times and helps plan the visit flow.

Some ride systems use rolling platforms and moving seats that work with projection screens to create a sense of speed and depth. This hybrid technique lets physical sets blend seamlessly into digital worlds.
