Founded in 1852 by Éthienne Thée, the Old Almaden Winery earned recognition as California Historical Landmark Number 505 in July 1953.
The winery's basement preserves numerous statues and artifacts from its operational period, representing California's early wine production heritage.
Located near 1530 Blossom Hill Road in San Jose, the former winery grounds now function as a public park for community activities.
The property maintains original architectural elements despite conversion to residential areas, with recent upgrades including new ten-foot metal fencing in 2024.
