Tule Springs Ranch

Tule Springs Ranch is a historic estate within Floyd Lamb Park north of Las Vegas, featuring several Colonial Revival buildings constructed during the 1940s. The property includes both the main structures and natural mineral springs that create a verdant oasis in an otherwise arid landscape.

The site's history began in 1916 when a Mormon settler established water rights and the basic infrastructure. The property changed hands several times and eventually developed into a private estate that served specialized purposes during the mid-twentieth century.

The ranch served as a retreat for out-of-state visitors during the 1940s who came to Nevada seeking divorces. The buildings reveal how private estates were adapted to meet specific social needs of that era.

The property sits north of the city and is accessible via Highway 95, making it fairly easy to reach for visitors. Since the site is located within a public park, visitors can walk freely around the grounds and explore both the buildings and natural springs.

The natural mineral springs at this location were originally what drew settlement and still create a surprising green oasis amid the dry Mojave Desert today. This rare natural feature made the spot valuable and allowed for the development of lush grounds that stand out sharply against the surrounding arid landscape.
