Goat Range Provincial Park

Goat Range Provincial Park spans 79,000 hectares across the Selkirk Mountains between Slocan Lake, Kootenay Lake, Arrow Lakes, and Duncan Lake in British Columbia.

The park territory, established in 1995, contains remnants of mining operations and a railway terminus from the 1880s at the south end of Trout Lake.

The land holds importance for Okanagan, Shuswap, and Ktunaxa-kinbasket First Nations, who utilized this area for traditional practices and sustenance gathering.

The park maintains minimal facilities, offering wilderness camping without potable water, and requires visitors to follow strict guidelines for waste management and wildlife protection.

This protected area contains the single natural spawning location for Gerrard rainbow trout, which can reach weights of up to 50 pounds.
