Toad River Hot Springs Provincial Park

The park spans 4.23 square kilometers within the Muskwa Foothills, featuring natural hot springs along the banks of the Toad River.

The provincial park, established in 1999, originated as a recreation reserve before its designation due to the ecological importance of the hot springs.

The Fort Nelson First Nation and Kaska Dena First Nations maintain traditional connections to this territory, using the land for generations.

Access to the springs requires river boat, horseback riding, or helicopter transport, as no direct road leads to the location.

The hot springs function as mineral licks, attracting moose and other wildlife that supplement their diets with the mineral-rich waters.
