Ash-Shaliheen Mosque stands in the Prime Minister's Office complex on Jalan Kumbang Pasang in Kampong Melabau, Bandar Seri Begawan. The 2,100-square-metre building, designed by Egyptian architect Abdel-Wahed El-Wakil, mixes Andalusian and Moorish Maghrebi forms: blue domes, tall minarets, stacked spherical arches for ventilation, an Italian mosaic dome and a marble fountain with Moroccan brass lamps in the sahn.

Designed by Egyptian architect Abdel-Wahed El-Wakil, winner of the 2009 Driehaus Prize, the mosque was completed in June 2012 within the Prime Minister's Office complex. Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah attended the first Friday prayer on 13 July 2012, signing a commemorative plaque before the Minister of Religious Affairs led the call "Allahu Akbar" and State Mufti Abdul Aziz Juned directed the prayers.

The mosque opened in 2012 inside the Prime Minister's Office complex on Jalan Kumbang Pasang in Kampong Melabau.
