Siyazan, Azerbaijan

Siyazan is an administrative district in northeastern Azerbaijan that stretches between the Caspian Sea and the Greater Caucasus mountains. The area blends flat coastal landscapes with mountainous regions and features diverse natural environments.

The district was established as an independent administrative area in 1940 and continued to develop throughout the Soviet period. After Azerbaijan gained independence in 1991, it retained its structure and role as a regional center.
