International Mugam Center of Azerbaijan

The International Mugam Center is a modern cultural building in Baku shaped like a tar, a traditional stringed instrument. The three-story structure contains a concert hall for performances, recording studios, study spaces, and dining facilities for visitors.

The building opened in 2008 as a dedicated space for preserving and promoting mugam music. The genre itself was recognized on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list, establishing it as important cultural property on the world stage.
