House-Museum of Uzeyir Hajibeyov

The House-Museum of Uzeyir Hajibeyov is a biographical museum in Baku dedicated to the life story of the influential composer. The exhibition spans four rooms and presents photographs, musical instruments, and personal belongings from his collection.

The museum opened in 1975 in the house where the composer lived from 1915 to 1942. He established professional Azerbaijani music, and his former home became a memorial to his artistic work.

The museum displays personal objects of the composer in their original rooms, including his desk with watch and glasses. The exhibition preserves the feeling of his daily life and the spaces where he gathered with other artists.

The museum is located near Nizami metro station on Shamil Azizbekov Street and contains multiple exhibition spaces along with a cinema hall. Visitors should allow adequate time to thoroughly explore all the different areas on display.

The collection includes silver dishes, copper bowls, and a gramophone that belonged to the composer. These objects reveal his personal taste and show how he furnished and decorated his living space.
