The synagogue, completed in 2011, replaced a previous prayer house that operated from 1945 to 2002 in a converted military warehouse building.
The Mountain Jews of Baku maintain their distinct Caucasian Jewish traditions through regular religious services, community gatherings, and educational programs.
Located at 171 Dilara Aliyeva Street, the synagogue welcomes visitors and conducts regular prayer services with separate entrances for male and female worshippers.
This synagogue stands as the first Jewish temple constructed in the Middle East region between 1950 and 2010.
