Monument to Mikayil Mushfig, Marble monument in Yasamal raion, Azerbaijan
The Monument to Mikayil Mushfig stands 3.2 meters tall on Inshaatchilar Avenue, featuring a 1.5-meter marble bust with inscribed golden letters on its pedestal.
The monument, unveiled in 1970, commemorates Mikayil Mushfig, an Azerbaijani poet from the 1930s who faced persecution during Stalin's regime and was executed in 1938.
The monument represents the literary heritage of Azerbaijan through its dedication to Mushfig, who created works like Kulekler and established new poetic styles.
The memorial underwent restoration in February 2017, receiving new benches and landscape improvements during the reconstruction of Nariman Narimanov Avenue.
The monument's design by Munavvar Rzayeva and architect Shefiqe Zeynalova incorporates specific architectural elements that reflect Azerbaijani artistic traditions.
