Pamporovo

The development of Pamporovo as a winter sports destination began with the construction of basic facilities, evolving into a modern resort with extensive infrastructure.

The resort lies near Smolyan, where visitors experience Bulgarian mountain traditions through local festivals, regional cuisine, and folk music performances.

The ski season runs from December through April, with 38 kilometers of cross-country tracks and snow machines covering 90 percent of the slopes.

Located 260 kilometers from Sofia, Pamporovo records over 100 sunny days during winter, making it Bulgaria's sunniest mountain resort.
