Kortright Centre for Conservation

The Kortright Centre for Conservation extends across 325 hectares of woodlands with 16 kilometers of hiking trails through natural forests.

Francis Kortright, an engineer and conservationist, established this environmental center in 1979 to promote natural resource preservation and education.

The center maintains educational facilities where visitors learn about environmental conservation through hands-on activities and interpretive programs.

Visitors can access the center through a membership pass that provides entry to multiple conservation areas across the Greater Toronto region.

The facility houses specialized sugar shacks for maple syrup production, demonstrating traditional and modern methods of collecting and processing sap.
