Litang County, Tibetan administrative county in Garzê Prefecture, China
Litang County is an administrative area in the mountains of southwestern Sichuan, located at about 3,954 meters elevation. The terrain spreads across a vast expanse with highlands and mountains defining the landscape.
The area was established as Litang Zhou under the Yuan Dynasty in 1272 and went through various administrative restructurings. It took its current administrative form as a county in 1951.
