St. Anne's Church, Moxi

The stone building combines Gothic Revival elements with Chinese architectural features, including a traditional bell tower and decorative columns throughout the structure.

The Paris Foreign Missions Society constructed the church in the late 19th century, followed by substantial renovations and expansions completed in 1930.

The church operates under the Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association since 1957, serving as a central place of worship within the Archdiocese of Chongqing.

Located at the eastern slope of Mount Konka, visitors can reach the church through established pathways in Moxi Town, Sichuan Province.

During the Long March in 1935, Mao Zedong stayed at the adjacent Franciscan residence and conducted the notable Moxi conference.
