Baden-Powell International House, Hong Kong hotel
Baden-Powell International House is a 25-story hotel in the Tsim Sha Tsui area of Yau Tsim Mong District with over 500 rooms and several suites. The building includes three restaurants, parking spaces on the first five floors, and a large hall that can accommodate up to 1000 people.
The building was completed around 2002 and is operated by The Scout Association of Hong Kong, which also maintains offices there. It has been significant enough to host major international scout events, including the 9th World Scout Youth Forum and the 37th World Scout Conference.
The name Baden-Powell honors the founder of the Scout movement and reflects the building's connection to Hong Kong's Scout Association. Visitors may notice small symbols and references to scouting throughout the building, which quietly tell the story of its origins.
The hotel is located on Austin Road, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the harbor, with good access to public transport like Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station. The central location makes it easy to explore other parts of the city or return to the lively streets.
