Bifengxia Panda Base

The Bifengxia Panda Base spans 400 hectares within dense forests, featuring specialized areas for breeding, research, nursery care, and medical facilities for giant pandas.

Following the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, forty giant pandas were relocated from Wolong National Nature Reserve to Bifengxia, leading to rapid facility expansion.

The center maintains international cooperation through panda exchange programs, hosting pandas born in zoos across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Visitors can participate in volunteer programs that include hands-on activities such as preparing bamboo, cleaning enclosures, and learning about panda care techniques.

The facility implements specialized training programs where juvenile pandas develop survival skills in simulated natural environments before potential release into the wild.
