Sai Wan Estate, Public rental housing estate in Central and Western District, Hong Kong
Sai Wan Estate is a public housing complex in the Central and Western District with five elongated blocks standing between 10 and 14 stories tall. The buildings are arranged on a modified hillside and contain 640 apartments in various sizes.
The estate was built between 1958 and 1959 as one of Hong Kong's early housing initiatives. It ranks among the oldest surviving public housing complexes and marks the beginning of this type of residential development.
