Jubilee Battery, Artillery battery in Central and Western District, Hong Kong.

Jubilee Battery is a coastal defence battery at the foot of Mount Davis, where Victoria Road meets Mount Davis Road. Completed in 1939, it had three emplacements for 6-inch guns, each with its own underground magazine, plus searchlights, magazines and barracks. Gun No. 2 and its surrounding structures were listed as a Grade III historic building in 2010.

The installation was built as a defensive position during the colonial period and played a strategic role during World War II. In December 1941 it was used against enemy landing attempts on nearby islands.

The site displays military structures from the colonial period and World War II that show how Hong Kong was once defended. Visitors can see the different rooms and passages that were built to support defensive operations.

Access is from the junction of Victoria Road and Mount Davis Road, where a sign for Sunset Pavilion marks the steps leading down to the battery. Visitors can walk from Kennedy Town or Pok Fu Lam, or take Citybus route 1 to the Mount Davis terminus. The gun emplacements and tunnels are unlit and overgrown in places, so bring a torch.

The underground rooms form a branching tunnel system extending from the main passage, revealing how intricately the complex was designed. This spatial arrangement allowed different functions to be separated into distinct areas.
