Tangshan Earthquake Memorial Park, Memorial park and earthquake museum in Tangshan, China

Tangshan Earthquake Memorial Park opened in July 2008 on the site of the Tangshan Rolling Stock Plant foundry, at 19 Yuege Road in Lunan District. Its 400,000 square metres hold the earthquake ruins, a memorial water zone, a memorial forest and a memorial plaza. The memorial wall has five groups of thirteen panels, each 7.28 metres high, engraved with the names of 240,000 victims; the China Tangshan Earthquake Museum stands west of the wall.

The park was built from April 2008 and opened in July 2008 at the earthquake ruins of the Tangshan Rolling Stock Plant's cast steel workshop. It replaced a privately built memorial wall from 2004–2006 that the city planning bureau declared illegal in 2006. The new memorial wall lists 240,000 victims' names.

The memorial wall consists of five groups of thirteen panels in a single row, each 7.28 metres high, a reference to the date 28 July. The names of 240,000 victims are engraved on them, and a list is kept for enquiries. The carver Meng Qingjiang, born in Tangshan in 1968, is known for large-scale lettering.

The park lies at 19 Yuege Road in Lunan District, east of Nanhu Park, and covers 400,000 square metres. The memorial wall, its pool and the museum stand close together, while the Rolling Stock factory ruins lie in the western part. The wall's name list is centrally kept and can be searched on site.
