Yucca de Lac, Western-influenced Cantonese restaurant at Peak Galleria, Hong Kong
Yucca de Lac is a restaurant blending Western and Cantonese cooking styles, located on the second floor of Peak Galleria. The dining space opens onto a terrace with views across Victoria Harbour toward the surrounding peaks.
The original location on Tai Po Road in Ma Liu Shui opened in 1963 and became well known over the following decades. It closed in 2005 but later reopened at its current Peak Galleria address.
The name reflects its fusion of Western and Cantonese culinary traditions, a blend visible in both the modern decor and menu today. Visitors can experience this cross-cultural approach in how dishes are prepared and presented to reflect both influences.
The restaurant welcomes guests from Tuesday through Sunday at lunch and dinner hours. The terrace offers outdoor seating in open air while the indoor area provides sheltered comfort depending on weather and preference.
The original site was sold in 2005 for a significant sum and transformed into a large residential development. This shift reflects how the area has evolved while the restaurant itself continues at its new location.
