Memorial Hall of the Boxer Uprising, Museum of Chinese resistance in Hongqiao District, China

The Memorial Hall of the Boxer Uprising exhibits documents and artifacts related to the anti-foreign movement that occurred between 1899 and 1901.

The building, originally constructed as a Taoist temple in 1719, served as headquarters for Boxer leader Cao Futian during the nationwide rebellion of 1900.

The museum presents exhibitions about the nationalist movement through historical documents, photographs, and personal items from the era of foreign intervention.

Located at Number 18 Hejia Lane on Ruyi'an Street, this national heritage site provides educational programs about the late Qing Dynasty period.

The temple entrance contained an altar where Boxer leaders performed rituals, burning charms and mixing their ashes with wine for supernatural protection.
