The 2004 completion of this structure marked the initial development phase of Hangzhou's Central Business District along the river.
The theatre contains three performance spaces: a 1600-seat Opera Hall, a 600-seat Concert Hall, and a 400-seat Theatre Hall.
The facility includes a rooftop Chinese restaurant that operates 24 hours daily, offering views of the outdoor amphitheatre and river.
The building's adjustable floors, walls, ceilings, and acoustic materials enable performances of both Eastern and Western productions.
