L'Arc Casino, building in L'Arc Casino, China
L'Arc Casino is a compact casino hotel on Macau island, with a lower section designed to echo the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. The property has 283 hotel rooms, several dining and bar outlets, and gaming areas spread across two floors.
The property opened in 2009, making it one of the newer casinos on the island at that time. The tower was left unfinished during construction, so its upper section looks plain compared to the ornate base.
The hotel takes its name from the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, and the lower part of the building visibly echoes that shape. Inside the casino, a deep red color covers the tables, walls, and staff uniforms, giving the gaming floor a bold and consistent look.
Hotel rooms can be hard to book for individual travelers, as most are reserved for travel agencies and group packages. The rooftop pool on the ninth floor is unheated and may be closed outside the warmer months, so it is worth checking before your visit.
The main casino floor has no slot machines at all, as they are placed only in separate areas away from the table games. The property also offers a craps table with video screens showing results, which is a game rarely found in Macau casinos.
