Tiantaishan Wulong Temple stands on the summit of Tiantai Mountain at 1138 meters elevation and blends religious structures with fortress elements. The complex includes multiple halls and terraces spread across the mountain plateau.
The temple served as a residence for Ming Dynasty general Wu Sangui and houses his personal belongings including his sword and ceremonial robe. These relics reflect the site's military and political importance during classical Chinese history.
The temple halls display exhibits about local Dixi Opera with traditional costumes and photographs of ground theater productions that reflect the region's artistic heritage.
The site is reached by forested paths that lead from the valley to the summit and require good physical fitness. Visitors should bring proper footwear and plenty of water, as the climb takes several hours.
A candlelit Guanyin figure stands in the rear hall, creating a quiet and contemplative setting. The Dayuetai terrace nearby offers a peaceful spot with views across the surrounding mountainous landscape.
