Butterfield & Swire's Godowns & Wharf, British colonial trading complex in Haizhu District, Guangzhou, China.
The waterfront facility spans 71,000 square meters with three concrete T-shaped piers and seven brick warehouses along 312 meters of riverbank.
Built between 1904 and 1908 by British firm Jardine Matheson, this wharf became central to maritime commerce during the early 20th century.
The site now functions as an urban center, containing exhibition spaces, design studios, restaurants, and entertainment venues that reflect modern Chinese society.
The renovated complex remains open daily, offering direct access to Pearl River activities through multiple transportation connections in central Guangzhou.
Each warehouse maintains its original industrial architecture while incorporating new functions, from international wine centers to creative exhibition halls.
