Nanfang Building

The Nanfang Building is a commercial high-rise in Guangzhou with 48 stories above ground and a height of 201 m (659 feet). The structure combines hotel rooms and office spaces within one building, offering mixed-use facilities for both visitors and workers.

The building was completed in 1922 and held the title of China's tallest structure at that time. This achievement shows how quickly Guangzhou developed as a modern center.

The name Nanfang means "South" and reflects Guangzhou's position in southern China. Visitors walking past notice a prominent structure that shapes the city's business districts and shows how modern high-rises have become part of daily urban life.
