Disney Sequoia Lodge, Hôtel in Coupvray, France
Disney Sequoia Lodge is a forest-themed hotel within the Disneyland Paris resort in Coupvray, built around heavy timber, stone walls, and an open fireplace in the main lobby. The property is spread across several buildings set in landscaped grounds meant to evoke a woodland setting, and it offers rooms in different categories.
The hotel was built in the early 1990s as part of the launch of Disneyland Paris and was one of the first hotels to open on the resort. Over the years it has been renovated and updated while keeping its original woodland theme.
The lodge draws on the style of American Pacific Coast mountain resorts, with rough timber beams, stone walls, and a large fireplace in the entrance hall. Many families return to it year after year, drawn by its quieter feel compared to the other hotels on the resort grounds.
The hotel is on the resort grounds and within walking distance of the park areas, with free shuttle buses available for those who prefer not to walk. Booking directly through the official Disneyland Paris offer can make access to certain extras easier.
At the center of the property stands a real giant sequoia tree brought in from Italy to serve as the living heart of the woodland theme. Architect Antoine Grumbach designed the buildings to resemble stylized trees, so that the whole complex reads as a forest when seen from a distance.
