Pandav Falls

Pandav Falls is a waterfall in Panna district that plunges down a steep rock face, creating multiple tiers before flowing into a tributary of the Ken River. The water drops from a height of about 30 meters, forming an impressive cascade within a forested gorge.

The area shows traces of early settlements, with archaeological finds pointing to ancient habitation. The caves nearby reveal how people lived in this region during distant periods that spanned many centuries.

The name comes from the five Pandava brothers of the Hindu epic Mahabharata, whose story is tied to the caves surrounding the waterfall. Locals still speak of their connection to this place, making it a site where ancient mythology feels part of the landscape itself.

The site is reachable from different starting points, with travel times varying between half an hour and one hour depending on where you begin. It helps to arrive early in the day to experience the best light and avoid the midday heat.

The location sits within Panna National Park, a protected area home to wildlife found nowhere else in the region. Visitors can observe birds and wild animals that live in the forests and gorges of this landscape.
