Baba Gangeshwarnath Dham is a Hindu temple featuring traditional architecture with solid stone walls and intricate carvings throughout its structure. The building displays classical religious design elements with details reflecting skilled craftsmanship.

The temple was built around 1750 by the Bisen Rajputs with the help of the then Kashi Naresh. Its foundation stone was laid by Shiv Lal Singh, a devout resident of Itahara village. The shrine faces the westward-flowing Ganges, which gave the deity the name Gangeshwarnath.

The temple is dedicated to Shiva and draws devotees who perform traditional ceremonies and offer prayers at its shrines. These rituals shape the spiritual life of the local community throughout the year.

The temple stands in Itahara Uparwar village, Deegh Mandal, about 38 km from Bhadohi and 221 km from Lucknow. It faces the Ganges, which here flows west to east, so the river side is the front of the shrine. The village lies in the Konia area, enclosed by the river on three sides.

The temple faces a westward-flowing stretch of the Ganges, which is why it is called Gangeshwarnath. The village of Itahara Uparwar lies in Deegh Mandal, 37.9 km from Bhadohi and 221 km from Lucknow; its population was 3,192 in the 2001 census and is now about 7,069.
