The garden spreads across 240 acres containing over 1,000 species of plants, a large lake, walking paths, and a Victorian-style glass house.
The garden was established in 1760 by Hyder Ali as a private royal garden and later expanded by his son Tipu Sultan with plants from France, Persia, and Afghanistan.
The garden hosts two major flower shows annually during Republic Day and Independence Day celebrations, drawing thousands of visitors to its glass house exhibitions.
Visitors can access the garden daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM through multiple entrances, with guided tours available to learn about the botanical collections.
The garden contains a rock formation estimated to be 3,000 million years old, making it one of the oldest geological structures on Earth.
