Akkulam is a locality in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, about 10 km from the city centre, where Akkulam Lake, part of Veli Lake, meets the sea. It holds the Akkulam Tourist Village and Akkulam Boat Club, a small park recently built by the lake, and the headquarters of the Indian Air Force's Southern Air Command.

Aakkulam grew around the point where Akkulam Lake, part of Veli Lake, meets the sea, about 10 km from Thiruvananthapuram city centre. The Akkulam Tourist Village and Akkulam Boat Club made it one of the capital's main picnic spots, and a small park was built by the lake for recreation. The Southern Air Command of the Indian Air Force is headquartered here, and in 2025 the Aakkulam-Chettuva stretch of the West Coast Waterway was scheduled for commissioning to open a passenger boat route from the lake.
