North Khorasan Province

North Khorasan Province extends across mountainous terrains and plains, containing eight administrative counties with Bojnord serving as the provincial capital.

The region formed part of Greater Khorasan until 2004, when authorities divided the historical territory into three distinct provinces for improved administrative management.

Multiple ethnic communities, including Persians, Khorasani Turks, Turkmen, and Kurds, maintain their languages and traditions within the different counties of North Khorasan.

The province connects to other Iranian regions through a network of highways, with regular bus services departing from the central terminal in Bojnord.

North Khorasan contains deposits of aluminum, copper, and limestone, while local artisans continue producing traditional carpets using regional patterns and materials.
