Kasugai spans across 92 square kilometers of land with residential neighborhoods, industrial zones, and green spaces in the northern part of Nōbi Plain.

The area contains burial mounds from the Kofun period and remained under Owari Domain control during the Edo period before becoming a city in 1943.

The city maintains multiple educational institutions, including 37 elementary schools, 15 junior high schools, and Chubu University, serving the local population needs.
