Kasugai is a city in Aichi Prefecture that lies in the northern section of the Nōbi Plain, where neighborhoods, workshops and open green zones sit side by side. The settlement feels spread out, with roads leading to schools, parks and smaller centers scattered across the land.
Burial mounds from the Kofun period mark early settlement, before the area came under the administration of the Owari Domain during the Edo period. The city gained its official status in 1943 and grew into an industrial and residential center over the following decades.
