Tōyako

Lake Toya, within the Shikotsu-Toya National Park, spans 180 square kilometers and features Mount Usu, an active volcano, along its southern shore point.

In 2006, the merger of Abuta town and Toya village formed Toyako, which later gained international recognition by hosting the G8 Summit in 2008.

The Windsor Hotel Toya Resort incorporates elements of Japanese and European design while offering traditional onsen experiences overlooking Lake Toya.

Visitors can reach Toyako Onsen via regular buses from JR Toya Station, with a journey time of 20 minutes and a fare of 340 yen.

Every night from May through October, the lakefront promenade presents firework displays that reflect on the surface of Lake Toya.
