Namarunu

Namarunu extends across the landscape with outward-dipping trachytic lavas, breccias, and tuffs forming its broad base of 200 meters depth.

The volcano developed during the upper Pliocene period, with its basal trachyte dating back approximately 6.8 million years and uppermost basalts from 500,000 years ago.
