Gwangyang Football Stadium, known as the Dragon Dungeon, is a football-specific ground inside the Gwangyang Steelworks complex. Its stands hold 13,496 spectators, and a single full-colour scoreboard stands behind the south seating, with floodlight towers on single poles for night matches.

Construction began in January 1992 and the stadium was completed that September, opening on 4 March 1993 with a match between POSCO Atoms and Dalian Shide. It served as POSCO Atoms' second home ground, and on 27 September 1994 hosted the first leg of a friendly against Kashima Antlers. From the March 1995 Adidas Cup it became the home of the newly founded Jeonnam Dragons.

Match days bring together local supporters who gather to cheer for their teams while sharing traditional Korean food available at vendor stalls throughout the grounds. This routine creates a strong sense of community connection during the football season.

Ample parking for both cars and buses is available near the main entrance for visitor convenience. Gates are clearly marked, making entry and navigation straightforward throughout the facility.

The stadium is the second football-specific ground opened in South Korea, after Pohang Steel Yard. Its first match on 4 March 1993 pitted Pohang Steel Atoms against China's Dalian Shide, and it served as Pohang's second home before the Jeonnam Dragons were founded in December 1994.
