Naganeupseong, Traditional fortress village in Suncheon, South Korea.

Naganeupseong extends across three neighborhoods on level ground, featuring stone walls, watch towers, moats, and four distinct entrance gates.

General Kim Bin-gil constructed the fortress in 1397 during King Taejo's reign to strengthen defenses following victories against coastal raiders.

The village maintains 231 traditional houses where residents continue farming activities and perform traditional music including pansori and nongak.

Four daily buses numbered 16, 61, 63, and 68 connect Suncheon city to Naganeupseong, with journeys lasting approximately 45 minutes.

Unlike other Korean heritage villages that housed nobility, Naganeupseong represents the living conditions of common people during the Joseon period.
