Waon Beach, Coastal beach in Suncheon, South Korea

Waon Beach is a 3 km beach in Waon village, Sangnae-ri, on the Suncheon Bay shore of Suncheon, Jeollanam-do. It faces the sea toward Yeosu to the east and the Goheung peninsula and Suncheon Bay to the southwest. At low tide the mudflat emerges, with reed beds standing on it and an S-shaped path across the flats.
